Jax is a laid back kind of guy, happy-go-lucky, kind and caring but he's got a rather large reckless streak and lacks some form of common sense. Passionate, intelligent and highly creative, he spends a lot of time staring out into the ocean either spacing or drawing. He tends to jump head first into situations without thinking or giving little regards to the end result consequences. Despite his seeming happy and carefree attitude, when he's steeped in the heat of battle the facade drops and his hard face comes out, fierce and near vicious if someone he cares about is in danger on that note, he also enjoys the thrill of fighting and can sometimes get a little carried away.

Like many gems before him, Jax was among the many that left Homeworld in favor of battle and the promise of glory. The guy spent a large portion of his youth trotting about, going to worlds after worlds, fighting and conquering in the name of Home and Yellow Diamond. It wasn't long till his ship, along with the many others came to a small blue marble known as Earth. It was there that a lot of things changed for Jax...Decisions made, as insane as they were to him but he's the kind of guy that always follows through. Earth was so different from the other planets they had ripped through...It had a charm to it, human life and animals being among them. Then he came face to face with Rose Quartz...Her passion over this ball of dirt and the odd creatures that lived there really hit Jax hard and of course, the other gems that had turned against their kind to support her. There was something special about her and the others...Something that he wanted to be apart off! That was all he really needed and soon enough he was on her side, fighting along with her and the others...Doing the impossible! They won the war, chased off Homeworld gem and spared Earth the doom that would have befallen it. So there it was...Jax spent a long time reflecting over what he did, how he turned his back against his home and his kind to protect a planet he didn't even know anything about! But he really felt like he did the right thing in the end and that was enough to live through this new chapter of his life. He hung around with Rose and the Crystal Gems ( The name made him snicker more then once ) for a while, till Rose fell in love with a human named Greg and gave up her physical form to bare him a a child named Steven. Jax hung around for a little more after that, not exactly sure how to deal with a kid but eventually he took off, wanting to explore the world to travel and learn as much as he could about the humans. On occasion every few months or even years, he'd swing by Beach City to see how the gems and Steven are doing. There was one thing that Jaxon has learned over time...Life on Earth was good and he was truly happy for the first time in ever.
